Overall, it is evident that women who participated in regular physical activity had the highest percentage in all the age groups except the youngest. It is also evident that the highest percentage of engagement among females is 53.3% at age group 45 to 54 years old; conversely, the highest figure for males is in the first age group.
In detail, according to the women’s figures, enrollment in exercise among them showed an indisputable steady growth as the age increased, from 47.7 percent to the peak of 53.3 percent, in the ages 15 to 24 and 45 to 54 respectively. Meanwhile, as the age profile rose, the participation declined as it reached 47.1% for the figure 65 and over.
Regarding the male figure, the involvement began at 52.8% for the age 15 to 24 as the highest and showed a consistent downward trend to 39.5 percent in the age bracket of 35 to 44. After that, the figure steadily grew to reach almost the female figure at the age of 65 and over, by 46.7%.
