Overall, Constant decline in Portugal’s spending on roads and transport is observed. Similarly, Italy and United Kingdom’s investment on roads and transport steadily decreases. In contrast to these nations, United States of America have gradually progressed their spendings on road and transportation.
Government of Portugal started out aggressively with more than 25% spent on road and transportation in 1990. Ever since, this figure remained between 20% and 25% with steady decline in investments. United Kingdom’s investments has remained less than 10% except in 2000, where it was more than 10%. Italy’s investments lies between 20% to 25% only exception being 2005, it was less than 20% for this year.
Spendings in 1990 and 1995 were similiar for United States of America. Expenditure in 2000 and 2005 were approximately same but they were more than previous years.
