The diagram provides information about the percentage of young learners in 4 types of musical instruments during a 10-year interval up to 2015.
Over the whole time period, the guitar and piano ratio witnessed a significant rise throughout the research; whereas violin trend dropped slightly and drums grew slightly in the end of this study.
In 2005, the guitar and piano proportion contributed around 11% of the children, but then it rose significantly, reaching a 43% and 39% respectively in 2015. The violin trend, on the other hand, showed a plateaued pattern from 2005 to 2010 and then this figure had a slight decrease, achieving the least percentage in the study in 2015
Finally, the drums students never surpassed the 10% of the total during the years measured, which initially showed a 5% in 2005, then this situation grew marginally to 9%. Given the above, drums was highly unpopular within this group of instruments for 10 years.
