All the pie charts illustrate the proportion of water being used for multiple purposes on six major area of the globe. The chart is proportioned among domestic, industrial and agricultural use.
Overall, majority of the regions used their available water for agricultural purpose, with central Asia topping the usage. Conversely, Europe being the least consumer of water for agricultural usage while using most of its water of industrial reasons.
On the whole, the Asian continent is the leading user of water for agricultural purpose. The proportion of water used by central Asia followed by south East Asia (88% and 84% respectively) own the top two ranking for most usage of water for this specific purpose. Additionally, the amount of water being spent for domestic usage equals 7% in the both the regions. Notably, one other prominent user of water for cultivation is Africa (81%), also using very least quantity of water for its other activities like industrial and domestic usage (9% and 7% correspondingly).
On the other hand, Europe being the hub for industries, invest most of their water in industrial production. Meanwhile, contributing a less percentage to agricultural use (32%) and followed by domestic use to be the least used (15%).
Moreover, the only country to use more amount of water for domestic purpose is South America involving a usage of 19% of their available to water to household works. Also, the proportion of water being used for industrial usage exceeds the usage for agricultural purpose by North America is similar to the Europe.
