The chart provides a breakdown of the spending on six type of categories in Springfield College in 1990, 2000, and 2010.
Overall, teacher salaries accounted for the bulk of the annual spending in all three years, being distantly followed by other workers’ payment, technology and books.
In 1990, the largest sectors was teacher salaries (40%), followed by others’ salaries (28%). Both books, furniture and equipment showed similar shares around 15%. While insurance and technology lagged behind by 2% and 1% respectively.
In 2000, teacher salaries comprised for half of the percentage, where others’ salaries was 22% and books was 20%. However, spending for technology, insecure, furniture and equipment lagged behind.
In 2010, the teacher salaries decreased to 45%, and other’s salaries to 15%. When spending on technology rose to 20%. The books, insurance, furniture and equipment was 9%, 8% and 3% respectively.
