The pie charts give a breakdown of yearly expenditures in Springfield college in the years 1990, 2000 and 2010. Overall, the majority of annual spendings were total staffs’ salaries during the given period. Although there are some variations in remaining sections, technology saw a significant upward trend at the end of the period.
Generally, salaries of all employers in the college allocate for around two-thirds of total budget in three charts. Teacher salaries increased to half of the total, accounting for the largest proportion in 20 years, before declining to 45% in 2010. Other workers’ salaries also saw a downward trend from 28% in 1990 up to 15% in 2010. However, these are in stark contrast to spending for insurance, which rose significantly from 2% to 8%.
In terms of resources, towards the end of the period, expenses for technology had rise sharply, increasing from just 1% to 20%. In contrast, furniture and equipment experienced a general downward from 14% to 3%. Books also show a similar pattern, despite rising to 20% in 2000, decreasing by 6% in 2010.
