The bar chart provides information regarding the statistical significance of five different components determining good managers in their jobs assessed by business individuals on the scale of 1 to 5 in three years.
From an overarching viewpoint, it is discernible that the importance ratings of good communication, empathy and vision experienced a gradual increase across three examined years, while the ratings of transparency and responsibility observed a slight fluctuation but eventually ended at the same level of their beginning level. In addition, empathy was considered the least integral factor to be a good manager in all three years, while the opposite was true for the case of responsibility.
Empathy and vision shared the same upward trend throughout the three years. In 2010, these two were supposed to be the least significant contributors to assess a good manager, with the importance ratings at level 1 and level 2, respectively. Business people rated them higher and higher, as each significance rating rose to level 3 and level 4 in 2015 and 2020, respectively.
It is supposed that responsibility was the foremost component in a good manager. Specifically, commencing at the highest level, the rate of responsibility decreased slightly to level 4 in the next five years before ending at its beginning level in 2020. In contrast, the importance rating of transparency increased from level 3 to level 4 in 2015 and then dropped to its starting point in the last year. Good communication was a relatively highly evaluated component. Its rating remained unchanged at level 4 in 2010 and 2015, and then reached its peak at level 5 in 2020.
