The bar chart compares the proportion of Chinese and Indian expats in universities across nine different provinces in Canada in 2009.
Overall, there were more Chinese students in most provinces in Canadian, except for Alberta where Indian students were over Chinese. Additionally, New Brunswick occupied the highest precentage of both Chinese and Indian students.
Regarding the higher category, most Chinese students entered in universities in New Brunswick at nearly 12%, which was followed by its in Nova Scotia and British Columbia at around a tenth. This figure in Quebec accounted for over 8% of Chinese, while those in Yukon, Manitoba, and Ontario was slightly lower at under 8%. Moreover, both Alberta and Prince Edward Island had the lowest rate of Chinese students at under 6% with Alberta only had nearly 4%, which was a half as much compared to other provinces.
Concerning the share of Indian students, similarly with Chinese trend, around 7% of Indian students studied universities in New Brunswick. At a lower rate, Nova Scotia and Quebec had their share of Indian over 6% whereas those in Alberta, Yukon and British Columbia were lower. Finally, the proportion in Manitoba and Ontario were under 4%, whereas Prince Edward Island had no Indian students.
