The pie chart and table demonstrate the statistical data among Australian and New Zealand costumers when shopping online in a particular period (2012) regarding the websites they used and their motivation.
Overall, it can be seen clearly that two groups showed many similarities when shopping online. Consumers are preferred to buy goods in both local and overseas stores rather than only in one place. Most of the Australia and New Zealand costumers are pursue for the same reason when go shopping online, which is the cheaper price.
According to the pie graphs, the majority of both groups of consumers purchased products through both local and international sites. However, its slightly higher in New Zealand(58%) than Australia(55%). In addition, local websites were more popular than international sites in two countries. In New Zealand, there were 28% of the population bought goods only in local stores, but only half of the consumers go shopping online in international sites.
There were many reasons for shopping online. The table showed clearly that most of the costumers in both countries were attracted by lower prices, with 50% and 52% respectively. This was followed by convenience, approximately one third of the population needed this convenient way in Australia and New Zealand. Besides, 20% of Australian consumers rated the quality of goods as their third reason, yet the data for New Zealand was smaller at 13%. Other factors were only accounted for 2% for both countries.
