The flow chart illustrates the different steps a chipboard goes through before being finally used as a furniture.
Overall, there are two different stages, stage 1 which is the Preparation and stage 2 , Production. The two stages are further divided into nine steps starting from step 1 which is cutting of the trees and ending at step 9 which is making the furniture.
After step 1, the trees are trimmed into logs and then put into a type of grinder machine that crush them into woodchips. These woodchips then undergo the drying process which is the fourth step ,here they are passed through the hot air for 24 hours before being stored for one to four weeks. This is where the first stage of preparation ends.
The second stage of production starts with step 6 where the stored chips are mixed with glue and water turning them into mould . The mould undergoes shaping and processing, yielding the final product which is chipboards. These chipboards goes through the final step of making furniture which marks the end of the second stage.
