Overall, the most significant changes to a library are the expansion of the room in the top left corner, the transformation of several areas and replacement of new amenities to provide more facilities for visitors.
Regarding the layout’s left section, which is located beside the left entrance. While tables and chairs in the main hall have been removed, the former reading room which used to offer newspapers and magazines, has been converted into a new computer room. Next to the room, it has been decided to reduce its size and to showcase all reference books instead of only adult fiction.Notably, the former area which provided entertainment sources such as CDs, videos, and computer game that replaced by a larger one with the addition of new amenities, storytelling events and children’s fiction books.
In terms of the layout’s right section, situated next to the right entrance. Firstly, the enquiry desk in the bottom right corner has been transformed into a new café to serve the essential demands of people. Additionally, the area for adult non-fiction books has been completely altered, featuring a new information desk between the adult fiction books shelf and the self-service machines. Finally, the children’s books room that used to only serve the children’s favour has been made into a lecture room.
