The diagram illustrates how sugar is produced from sugar cane, which involves totally seven stages.
Overall, the process starts with growing the sugar canes and ends with the final product of sugar through the actions of crushing, purifying, evaporating, drying and cooling.
At the beginning of the process, farmers grow sugar canes for 12 to 18 months. After reaching the matured satge, they are harvested either mechanically using specialized vehicles or manually by hand. The reaped sugar canes are then crushed through introducing into the crushing machine which separates the juice from the plant. The separated liquid is then transferred into funnel like equipment that consist of limestone filter to filter a pure juice.
At stage 5, the purified juice is then transported into a containers and is heated to evaporate water and which is converted into semi liquid. The liquid is then centrifuged to sort out sugar crystals from them. Eventually, the sort outed crystals are drying and clooling to get final product sugar for distribution.
