The graph and chart depict how many students got engaged in six types of courses in one university by gender in 2012.
Overall, the majority of female students took part in social sciences, heath and humanity whilst the remaining were primarily made up by their counterparts except for Agriculture with the equal rate for both. Evidently, there is a significant disparity in the number of students from different courses.
Regarding the total enrollments, Social sciences recorded a peak of 7000 students’ participations, which was 4000 students more than that of engineering. Followed closely by Heath, Humanities, Science and Maths at around 2000 students or below. However, merely 400 students participated in agriculture.
Concerning the ratio of gender distribution, 4000 female students majored in social sciences, 1000 students more than that of males. Similarly but to lesser extent heath and humanities were registered by roughly around 1800 and 1500 students, respectively and roughly below 1000 male students. Conversely, males students pursued Engineering and Science and Maths were approximately 2100 and 1100 students while the figures for females ranged from 800-1000 students. Agriculture was the course that had the lowest students with merely 200 students from each gender.
