The chart gives information about a weight of various types of vegetables that Qatari imported between 1980 and 2020.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that the mass of vegetable types has shown in tones, and there has been a vast difference in tones, and fluctuations between the years.
In 1980, a new trend of vegetable import was emerged, with the change in such vegetables like spinach, broccoli, garlic, peas and ginger. Not until THE 2000s, did import change significantly.
However, in 2000 and 2020, there was a dramatic change in all vegetables except peas. Garlic’s import started at 300 tonnes at first, and then it increased to 360 tn, and reached to the peak at 400 tn in 2020. As for broccoli, it ended at 300 tn, with a bit changes between the years. Meanwhile, ginger escalated to 260 tn in 2020, after which it increased gradually, reaching at 300 tonnes in 2000. Despite the same result in peas weight in 1980-2000, it finally rose a bit, from 150 tn to 170 tn in 2020. The last sort which is spinach decreased steadily, from 500 tn to 450 tn in 1980-2000, and ending at 350 tn in 2020.
