Dear Mr and Mrs Collins,

I’m answering this letter due to your invitation for Chris’s surprise birthday party. I think it’s a very thoughtful think to do for Chris’s birthday and I’m sure that Chris will be very surprised to see his favorite people together!

Unfortunately, I cannot attend to the party even though I would like to. Actually, I am currently in Turkey which I came for an Erasmus program. I have a wonderful time here also I’m very interested about Turkish culture as well. Moreover, I have a present for Chris from here. I will be here until next month however, I would like to give a video call for him to see at his party.

Although I already have a gift for him which he’ll definitely like, I would like to learn your thoughts about the plan as well. I planned a surprise at your house because he doesn’t know the date I’ll return. I would like you to help me with this plan when it’s time.

Lastly, I think he is very lucky to have parents like you! Also I’m sure he’d love the party you planned for him. I’d like to hear your thoughts about my plan!
