In 2015, most American adults’ less often shopped on the internet, with 37% stating they sometimes purchased and a fifth showing that they never bought anything. The more frequent online shopper included those who bought each month or weekly, with the proportion being 28% and 15% respectively.
Regarding the habit of the online shopper, about 65% still chose to buy in physical stores rather than purchased online. This trend is reflected in the adults’ who shopped less frequently , weekly and a few times a month, having a tendency to experience traditional buying with 82%, 37% and 58% respectively. By contrast, over two thirds weekly online shoppers showed they chose to order on the internet instead of leaving home to shop.
