The pie chart shows the proportion of total spending on advertisements by 6 different types of media between 2012 and 2017 in India. The values are shown as percentages.
Overall, tv and print cover most of the percentage of media, while the rest was covered by other media types. Nevertheless, the proportion of tv increased slightly, whereas digital doubled in the past 5 years. The percentage of outdoor and cinema stayed the same throughout the time period, but the proportion of radio and print decreased dramatically.
TV and print contribute to around 80% or more of the whole chart with 45% and 30% respectively by the end of 2017, whereas cinema, radio, outdoor, and digital all combined can go up to only 29% in total. TV has risen by 2% in the 5 years span, with digital doubling up to 15 % from 6%.
Cinema has the lowest proportion of all of the media types with less than 1% . Print had a higher percentage in the year 2012 of about 38% but it declined down by 8% by the end of 2017. Last but not least, outdoor stayed at 5% the entire time.
