The pie charts compare the percentages of young people who did different activities after completing secondary education in Australia between 1980 and 2000.
It is clear that the highest percentage of young people was employed. By contrast, the proportion of teenage people chose unemployment was lowest in the given years.
In terms of young people, 40% young people was employed after leaving secondary school in 1980 and it increased to 55% in the years of 2000. There was a fall of 13% in the proportion of young people who went for further education after their high school graduation from 50% in 1980 to 37% in 2000 over a period of 20 years.
For the remaining figure, during the years of 1980 and 1990, percentage of young people who chose unemployed after completing secondary school increased from 10% to 12 %, a rise of 2% over the 10 year period. And this figure decreased to 8% in the years of 2000.
