The pie charts illustrate the proportion of people who use different social media in Australia for 3 years. Overall, Facebook had the highest percentage even though it decreased throughout 3 years. In addition, Google had the lowest percentage of users and the others tended to increase.
In 2011, the percentage of Facebook’s users was the highest at 59% and accounted for more than a half of the chart. However, in 2012 and 2013, the proportion of Facebook’s users started to decrease but still the highest with 49% in 2012 and 38% in 2013. Additionally, the second largest segment is Twitter with 21% of users in 2011. The pie chart indicates an increase in Twitter in 2012 and 2013. While Facebook has 38%, Twitter has 25% in 2013, this shows a significant difference.
According to the pie chart, Linkeldn accounts for 10% of the total in 2011. Moreover, Google and Pinterest had the same percentage of 5%. A rising trend is evident in three of them are Linkeldn, Google, and Pinterest which now account for 15%, 14%, 8% respectively.
