The two maps show the transformation of a Natural history museum in two different timeframe 2010 and 2013.
Overall, the Natural history museum become more diverse and visitor friendly with the introduction of a range of new facilities. It is also clear that the majority of the changes took place to the right side of museum while the left side remained more or less intact.
Focusing on the 2010 plan, access was from the bottom, with an lobby behind which were the ocean hall to the front and ticket desk to the left. While the garden were located to the right side of the building, the Dinosaur hall and Mammals room were on the other side.
Since then, the garden made way for new residentials like café, shop and Human origins display areas. Where the Mammals stood there is now new Ice Age exhibition and one corner of the area separated for Insects room. Mammals room relocated to the front of the shop and café. Other sections which included Dinosaur, Ocean halls and lobby remained completely unchanged.
