Between 1990 and 2010 the ground floor of the museum suffered several modifications.
When we enter on the ground floor, there is a larger than in 1990, and in the center of the museum there is a statue, which was closer to the stairs in 1990.
On the right side of the entrance there are 3 open areas in stand of having two rooms (the local history room and the archaeology gallery), in 2010 there was the Local history room that remain the equal since 1990 but without doors. The archaeology gallery was extincted, and that space was divided into two different rooms: the Poster display area and the children’s interactive zone.
Looking to the left side of the entrance in 1990 there was the museum office next to the reception counter, in 2010 the reception counter was closer to the entrance. The Museum office and the Natural history room have not changed. The gift shop was converted into a bigger room and had been added a café on the same space. One of the most important improvements was the introduction of one lift between the “Cafe and Gift shop” and the “natural history room”.
Taken as a whole, the ground floor museum had number of major alterations between 1990 and 2010.
