Overall, it is evident that China was the most popular country in the number of people using rail transport and passenger kilometres per head of population. Although Canada witnessed the lowest figures in both areas, it showed the highest figures in cargo carrying.
In detail, about 27 people used rail transport in China, making it the dominant country in 2007. This trend also continued passenger kilometres per head of population, roughly 1980 in the same year. Cargo carrying was about 23.01 billions of tons in China, putting it in the second line. Turning to Malaysia, approximately 5.9 people used rail transport. Malaysia had 770 passengers kilometers per head of population and about 22.2 billions of tons cargo were carried.
Conversely, Canada showed the lowest values in the number of people using rail transport and passenger kilometres per head of population, 0.3 and 80, respectively. However this country had 2820 billions of tons of cargo carrying in 2007, making it the most popular country in terms of cargo carrying. UAE showed moderate figures in all lists. About 5.5 people used rail transport in UAE and 780 passengers kilometres head of population and 21.9 billions of tons cargo carried, making it the lowest figure in this list.
