Overall, it is clear that all the dietary options of each country were different with rice being the main food source in Cambodia, wheat being primarily consumed in Poland and Egypt and Maize being eaten by most Mexicans . Additionally, Egypt is the only nation where all 3 staples contribute significantly to daily intake.
Regarding Cambodia and Mexico, Cambodia shows the highest dependence on rice consumption, at 1445 calories per person per day, which far surpasses other countries. Thereafter, wheat and maize, whose figures are much lower than rice intake, stand at 18 and 103 calories, respectively. Maize becomes the most prevalent food source in Mexico, accounting for 1083 calories. Meanwhile the figure for rice and wheat in Mexico saw a similar trend to that for wheat and maize intake in Cambodia.
In terms of two remaining countries, 1090 calories of wheat consumption is consumed in Egypt, which is double the consumption of rice and maize, at 501 calories and 578 calories, in that order. Similarly, people in Poland prefer getting calories from wheat. Followed by rice and maize, the number of calories in rice intake is recorded at a low level of just 19 while Polish citizens do not consume maize at all.
