The table gives information about the percentage of women in two positions, such as workforce and manager, in five different countries in a particular year. Overall, it can be seen that the highest proportion of women were just ordinary workers in all countries, with the exception of Egypt. While the proportion of women in Australia and the US was by far higher, women from Egypt, Sri Lanka, and Japan showed the lowest figures for working as managers. It is interesting to note that Australian and American females had the same percentage in the position of manager.
Looking at the details of the workforce, Japan showed the highest figure, with 48%, which was slightly higher than the US, with 46%. Australia and Sri Lanka had almost identical percentages, with 42% and 41%, respectively. The Egyptian women showed the lowest figure, with 20%.
By contrast, women in Australia and the US worked as managers more than women from other countries. Both countries had the same percentages, with 43%, which was almost five times as high as Sri Lanka, with 9%. The remaining countries like Japan and Egypt had a slight disparity by 5%, with 17% and 12%, in turn.
