The United Kingdom had the highest revenue in fair trade labeled coffee in the years 1999 and 2004. Their sales surged from 1.5 million in 1999 to 20 million in 2004. Conversely, Denmark, Belgium, and Sweden had only a minimal growth in its revenue. While Switzerland’s revenue doubled from 3 million to 6 million subsequently.
In contrast, Switzerland had a significant increase in fair trade bananas in both years, with 15 million and 47 million. It is followed by Belgium, where it had a surge in sales from 0.6 million in 1999 to 4 million in 2004. The United Kingdom and Sweden had minimal growth. Denmark had a decrease from 2 million to 0.9 million in 2004.
