The two tables provide information about potato consumption per person and the total production quantity across 5 world regions in 2006.
Overall, Europe had a leading role in potato consumption, then distantly followed by North America. However, other countries showed relatively small figures related to potato consumption. In contrast, in Asia/Oceania the production volume exhibited higher figures, and Europe produced slightly fewer potatoes. The remaining regions contributed comparatively small amounts to global production.
