Dear Sir,

I am writing to request a week off from September 26th to October 2nd in order to make an industrial visit as a part of my project work. I am in the second year of my postgraduate program in electrical and electronics engineering.

My specialization is power electronics, and as a part of my curriculum, I am supposed to do an application project in the upcoming semester. After researching my options, I have decided to work with one of the leading electronics companies in India.

I tried to approach the research department of “Texas Instruments” several times, but my requests were rejected because of their tight schedule. The deadline for my project topic submission is almost here, and upon special request, the company has given me an appointment for the aforementioned dates. If I fail to visit this time, I will not get an opportunity again.

I would be grateful if you could consider my request and grant me permission to take a week off. I look forward to hearing from you.
