Band 5+: You recently discovered that there are plans to construct a new block of flats in your local area. Write a letter to the local authority. In your letter: explain how you know about the plans, describe the negative effects this will have on your neighbourhood, and suggest a possible solution to the problem.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to let you know what kind of new construction site will be opened soon near my area.

I am a resident of your area and came to know through marketing and advertising about construction work or any new buildings opening for sale in my society. I hope it does not affect our living standards or cause any traffic disturbance on the street.

Well, I illustrate that due to this work, I would expect that there would be more obstacles we have to handle, likewise, traffic congestion, dust, and extra noise pollution. Thus, it will disturb our sleeping habits and we need to be extra careful about playing with children throughout the construction work.

I would like to suggest you take extra care of our neighborhood area because of the playing area, where our kids play every day and we have grandparents too to take care of them due to some health conditions such as asthma patient.
