In this era of advertisement , it is debated that promtions hinders uniqueness while others reject this notion. I partially agree with this statement because advertisement creates conformity but individuals also have choices and prefrences too.
On the one hand , advertisements influences people choices and behaviour. To explain this, advertisements present different kind of brands by celebrities pictures and videos which enforce youngsters buy similar brands to imitate them and look like them instead of follow their own cultures and traditions which results in reduce originality. Moreover, Global brands promote the same products worldwide, making people act and think similarly. Recent survey conducted in 2017 by World Health Organization that 85% young people by nike shoes just of advertisements .
In contrast, Folks also have different interest and taste according to their culture. This is to say, although there are different kinds of promotions related to everything but some people choose according to culture and financial stability . Therefore , individuality still alive not completely vanished. Furthermore, most of the young generations always follow their upbringing rules and take advice from their parents untill they are not enough mature.
In conclusion, while both perspectives have their own meriits. Although advertisements reduce originality because people wearing same kind of brands however, some folks also have independent choices and they do not attract to advertisements.
