My journey into the finance world began with a structured academic project during the “IPO to IPO” course, which played a pivotal role in shaping my career aspirations. I worked on a startup idea called GOAT, taking charge of the financial analysis, including evaluating costs, calculating EBITDA, and projecting the break-even point. This hands-on experience ignited my fascination with the intricate details of financial management and the market value of a business.
As such, I decided to pursue a career in Private Equity, where deep financial knowledge is crucial for evaluating businesses and finding potential investment opportunities.
Driven by my goal, I founded the Finance Club during my bachelor’s, organizing discussions on market trends and financial strategies with industry experts. I earned national recognition with a Silver medal at the Inter IIT Meet for developing a financial analytics dashboard for SaaS companies. Concurrently, I also interned at a fintech startup, where I optimized financial software tools for global FX/payments and logistics.
While these experiences have provided a strong foundation, the CFA program’s comprehensive curriculum is vital for acquiring advanced knowledge in financial analysis, portfolio management, and ethical standards. Earning the prestigious CFA Charter will enhance my expertise and credibility, positioning me to join the field of Private Equity and achieve my long-term career aspirations. As my current employer does not sponsor the CFA Program, The CFA Access scholarship will provide crucial financial relief allowing me to achieve the full charter by 2027.
