Flora and fauna have suffered negatively due to human practices. Few people are of the belief that these practices cannot be avoided. However, some people think alternate practices must be adopted to safeguard the natural terrain. I believe that a section of society could bring change in their lifestyles. However, in my opinion, it is impossible for entire humanity to switch to non-traditional practices.
As the climate is changing rapidly and severely affecting the habitat of wildlife, it has been realized by many that human practices are to be blamed. Awareness has been created worldwide to adopt modern and sustainable lifestyles to protect our ecosystem. I believe that human nature does not allow them to compromise on their self-interests, consequently leading to maximizing their profit by following hazardous lifestyles. People avoid circumventing to gain maximum benefit. For instance, a common practice around the world is the dumping of poisonous waste material in oceans, leaving the water contaminated. This unregulated dumping of chemicals to avoid spending money on legal dumping procedures resultantly affects the life of marine creatures.
Whereas, a group of people think that by preventing harmful practices, the natural environment could be protected. Unhealthy lifestyles are engrossed in people’s routine lives, making transition towards a healthy life a difficult option. Converting the entire population towards sustainability is a utopian dream because humans are selfish and interest-driven. One section of society leaves behind the traditional practices, meanwhile another section will continue to do so. Specifically, people with low living standards, to meet their ends, will continue to follow this deadly trail. For instance, despite multiple awareness campaigns to abandon such practices, people in developing countries are still following them.
In conclusion, in my opinion, it is impossible to regulate human activities around the world, and they will continue to affect the ecosystem through their practices.
