In recent years, as society continues to evolve at a rapid pace, the pursuit of higher education has become increasingly popular among young individuals. Some people argue that offering tertiary education places for almost all young people is not possible or useful. I partly agree with this statement, and this essay will explain this.
Regarding its possibility, a good university requires many good teachers and facilities such as a sports field, laboratory….., which requires a huge budget, so it is difficult to build enough schools for all young people. However, it is necessary to be well-educated in a knowledge-based society; therefore, some schools should support young students to study if they are suitable, such as creating a scholarship. Besides, vocational schools should be valued as much as universities. Because when youth have many practical skills like interpersonal and teamwork skills or communication skills, they are more likely to have better career prospects.
having a university degree plays a vital role in the future of young people in this knowledge-based society, but it depends on the situation. For example, a person cannot be a successful doctor or lawyer if he does not have any formal qualifications. As a result, in some fields, formal qualifications are important. Moreover, people with higher education are more likely to find jobs. Nevertheless, individuals can spend 2 years studying in vocational schools, saving time to work to earn some money for their daily living, which helps them gain more practical skills and experiences than people who spend 4 or more years in tertiary education.
In conclusion, it is not impossible to provide almost all young people with access to tertiary education because of the budget, and having a university degree helps students gain better prospects because of their benefits.
