Many scientific experts believe that technological devices will outperform humans in the future. While some people consider this a beneficial trend, others are concerned about its detrimental consequences. From my perspective, this is likely to be a negative development due to its disadvantages.
On the one hand, advanced and intelligent computers may offer numerous benefits. Firstly, computers integrated with artificial intelligence can replace humans in certain jobs such as software engineers, designers, and office workers. This is because these devices can deal with complex problems and complete tasks faster than humans, thereby saving time and costs for companies. As a result, productivity and efficiency can be improved, leading to higher profits. For example, in Vietnam, Vingroup has applied artificial intelligence in navigation systems for electric cars to find the shortest routes. Another advantage is that this trend may encourage both interns and experienced staff to improve their skills in order to manage and fix issues related to smart devices.
On the other hand, there are several negative effects that should be considered. Initially, relying too much on technological devices may prevent inexperienced workers from thinking independently and make them less responsible. To elaborate, fresh graduates who frequently use AI tools to solve problems over a long period of time may lack practical skills and could be dismissed by their employers. As a result, they may become unemployed and find it difficult to secure new jobs without changing this habit. Furthermore, the increased use of advanced technology may widen the gap between rich and poor, as companies reduce their workforce to maximize profits, which could harm the overall economy.
In conclusion, although intelligent computers bring certain benefits, this trend may lead to serious issues such as unemployment and reduced human capability.
