The majority of young people go shopping in their free time. This is because of the endless variety of products being widely advertised these days. From my perspective, I believe these individuals should be encouraged to participate in other activities that are more beneficial to them, and to society.
The explosion of commercial products is nothing unfamiliar. Since the 20th century, big companies have been manufacturing humans’ daily necessities in mass, namely shampoo, spoons, dishes, among others. Additionally, these products have been brought to consumers by advertisement. This method of delivering enhances images of the items so that they look more attractive to the viewers, leading to their desiring to purchase such items.
On the other hand, young people can do more useful things rather than shopping, which is time-consuming and expensive. Society should encourage these people to take part in voluntary work. This activity helps them develop several personal qualities, for example, they can learn the value of community, how to colloborate with one another, improve their leadership and communication skills. Moreover, these individuals can contribute significantly to the well-being of society as a whole.
However, shopping is still an important aspect of everyone’s daily life and cannot be ignored. Young people need the items that are sold in supermarkets and stores in their personal lives to fulfill daily tasks, such as taking a shower, eating, among others. Additionally, the act of purchasing also contributes to society, as it improves the economy of a nation. It is my experience that the majority of most countries’ incomes come from selling commercial products.
In conclusion, adverstising is the primary reason why most young individuals go shopping nowadays. Moreover, while shopping is important for them to complete their daily tasks and contributes greatly to a country’s economy, it is advisable that they take part in voluntary work, which improves themselves as a person and also the community around them.
