It is often argued that students should pay attention only on academic subjects at school, while others believe that subjects such as music, art and sport are just as important. This essay will discuss both perspectives and I express my support for the importance of art subjects.
On the one hand, supporters of academic education argue that subjects like mathematics, science, and languages are essential for students’ future careers. These disciplines develop analytical skills and knowledge that can help students enter universities and find well-paid jobs. As a result, some people believe that schools should concentrate mainly on these subjects in order to prepare students for professional success.
On the other hand, subjects such as art, music, and sports also play a significant role in students’ development. They help young people express themselves creatively, reduce stress, and maintain good physical and mental health. In addition, these subjects can improve teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence.
In my opinion, young students should study a wide range of subjects, including both academic and creative ones. At an early age, children should explore different fields such as science and art, and later they can choose subjects they really need. Moreover, in the modern world people need different skills. Employers often look for people who are well-rounded and can think creatively, work in a team, and solve problems. Therefore, studying different types of subjects is very important for students’ overall development.
In conclusion, although academic subjects are essential for students’ future education and careers, creative and physical subjects are also important for personal development. I believe that students should study different types of subjects, especially at a young age, because it helps them develop various skills that are in demand
