A growing number of individuals nowadays hold the view that cutting-edge technology brings more demerits than merits. I strongly disagree with this point of view.
First and foremost, thanks to modern technology, people’s lives are becoming easier than ever. It is undeniable that in the past, it was prevalent to keep in touch with each other by hand-writing letters which took the recipient several days, even weeks to get the letter. However, thanks to the advent of the internet, people can easily communicate with others through electric devices such as smartphones or laptops, saving people a lot of time and effort. It is not to mention that in the hustle and bustle of daily life, people are overwhelmed with a myriad of tasks and deadlines, appliances like washing machines and dishwashers allow people to spend time taking a rest or entertaining themselves by playing video games or watching television.
In addition, technology supports people in terms of study and work. Apparently, students can access a wide range of search engines which allow them to download free sources of information and broaden their knowledge as a result. Notably, amid the covid-19 pandemic, technological applications and websites enabled people to continue their study and work without having to go out. Consequently, not only did technology make sure the operation of educational institutions and corporations, but it also facilitated for the economy in the world to quickly rebound.
In conclusion, due to the huge merits that state-of-the-art technology could confer, I am convinced that technology helps people solve numerous issues.
