In recent years, there has been a growing inclination among the government towards spending excessive money on education. While I agree that investing in education is incredibly necessary, the authorities should spend more on recreational activities as well.
It is undeniable that enormous investment in education brings lots of benefits to individuals and society. Firstly, it equips people with essential skills and knowledge that play an integral part in their personal growth. For example, by attending educational institutions, people have the chance to learn various subjects such as Maths, Literature, Physics, and History which helps them broaden their knowledge and have a better grasp of many aspects of the world. Secondly, such action contributes to improving the quality of people’s lives. By accessing higher education, people can have better job opportunities in the future which helps them make ends meet and afford daily demands such as food, drinks, and health care services.
However, I hold the view that the government should invest in recreational activities. This is because it helps people enhance their physical well-being. If the government invests in sports facilities, young people are more likely to engage in sports events instead of being glued to screens which helps them avoid a sedentary lifestyle and various diseases such as obesity and diabetes. Furthermore, due to hectic schedules, people are becoming more and more stressed and anxious. Therefore, the development of leisure activities enables people to release stress and promote their mental health.
In conclusion, while investing in education is extremely essential to individuals and society, I am of the opinion that the government should also spend more money on leisure activities.
