Band 5+: Some people think the money spent in developing the technology for space exploration is not justified. There are more beneficial ways to spend this money. To what extend do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The progress of technology and space exploration sector has remained a constant topic of discussion among people, throughout the years. I strongly agree with the thought, unnessary and excessive expense on technology and space related actvities results in only myopic gains. This money can be spent on welfare of poor and deserving poeple, along with that it can also be spent on betterment of our environment.

Space exploration and technological achievments are concentrated to certain relavent community only, like scientists and astro-physicists. It doesn’t contribute to any soacial factor, this money can be actively used to help down-trodden people. For example, it can be used to build homes for homeless people, furthermore it can be utilised to feed malnurished children in certain regions like Africa. Such practices would not only address a greater social cause, but will also promote a sense of unity among peple. This money should be used to solve real world issues like hunger and malnurishment, rather than achieving small and insignificant objectives fueled by curiousity.

On the other hand, apart from welfare this many can be spent to prvent environmental disasters around the globe. Many countries face environmental catastrophes due to global warming that result sin significant loss of innocent lives, livestocks and lands. This can eradicated with an adequate expense on improvement factors. For example, this momey can be used to plant-trees in affected areas, to rebuild homes of displaced poeple in these tragedies. Beyond that this money can be used to improve infrastructure for duch countries so that, they would be able to sustain such tragedies.

In conclusion, the excessive expense on technology and space exploration is not a feasible approach to progress as a community. These amounts can be used to eradicate the world hunger and to create a healthy environment for generations to come. Therefore such unnecessary practices should be discouraged.
