Some individuals suggest that the development of computers will have negative consequences because they might become more intelligent as compared with people, while others believe that it will have positive ones. In my view, however, many physical jobs might be replaced by artificial intelligence, whilst creating the source of new jobs and contributing to increasing the percentage of scientific advances.
On the one hand, the growth of the development of artificial intelligence can lead to automation of the majority of work processes. Nowadays, many calculations, reports and production of nanomaterials are controlled by computers. Take, for example, components of knee joint replacement, widely spread type of operation in orthopedics, are manufactured by 3D printers, which were previously programmed. Therefore, many people believe that labor markets might be replaced by computers. However, I totally disagree with this statement because this gives additional opportunities for citizens to study cutting-edge technologies as there is a necessity for managing computers and their production.
On the other hand, the number of advancements will be enhanced significantly thanks to high quality calculation machineries. More advanced computers can help to solve compound scientific issues and accelerate developing state-of-the-art technologies, leading to the improvement of medicine, ecology and other fields of our lives. For instance, scientists thought artificial intelligence to detect cancer cells and, besides this, it could reveal immunodeficiencies in patients, suffering from cancer. Thus, I completely agree that future computers could boost the efficient of scientific research.
In conclusion, while computers can change labor markets by reducing the number of jobs, it encourages people to learn how to manipulate and manage them and ensure the development of science.
