This issue of spending government funding on space exploration has become a matter of considerable debate in modern society. Some people argue that it would be better spent on a beneficial area, while others contend that this is not the case. I partly agree with this statement, as although there are some valid reasons to support it, I believe that it is not entirely true.
One of the primary reasons why I agree with this statement is that exploring space gives people more knowledge about other planets and also creates an opportunity to develop technologies. This is because the exploration of space has led humans to invent many new technologies, such as rockets, telescopes, and spacesuits, and today we have much information about outer space. As a result, people can travel to other planets that are located near the Earth, such as March, Jupiter, and the Moon.
On the other hand, some argue that, instead of funding space exploration, the government should focus on improving the quality of study and on reducing pollution by increasing forest cover. For instance, building modern schools in the suburban areas and attracting teachers there with higher salaries can help enhance children’s knowledge and lead to the country’s development. Therefore, this kind of trend has not only a beneficial side, but also negative consequences.
In conclusion, although it is understandable why I support exploring space with government funding, some people believe that this trend does not have a benefit to the nation, which is more convincing.
