The two maps compare the changes that have been made in the Central Library from 20 years before until now. Overall, some rooms have been changed in location and replaced by new ones, some features have been removed, for instance, there are no tables or chairs now.

According to the figures, there were some changes in the west half of the site, in the southwest, which used to be a space for multimedia and entertainment, is now a place for storytelling with some furniture to sit on, and also it now contains some fiction books for children. Moreover, All reference books, which are new, are in the middle of this section, where the adult fictional books were located; however, they have been moved to the east side. There is no reading room in the southeast anymore; instead, you can use computers in this area now, and its door, which used to be on the north side, is transformed to the west side of the room.

As can be seen, the east section has some notable changes too, the northeast corner, where used to be a place to keep children’s books, is now a room for lecturing. The main part of this site, has some new facilities, such as an information desk and self-service machines, which made the enquiry desk inefficient, so it is replaced by a cafe. Finally, the round tables and chairs in the middle of the plan across the entrance were removed and this area is now empty
