Nowadays, most of our cosmetics and medicinal products are certified after being experimented on animals such as rabbits and hamsters. While many people think that this kind of experimentation is harmful and should be restricted, others suppose that discovering particular scientific facts by testing it on animals is essential.
When a certain company is about to conduct product testing on animals, it is necessary to predict every possible risk it may cause. This is because managing risks could help to sort awful impacts that may threaten the animals’ life, either in the short term or long term. For example, if an experiment could possibly lead to the death of a large number of rabbits, it should not be continued due to the long term effects on the population of a particular animal. As a result, this reduces the probability of a certain extinction caused by human activities.
At the present time, perhaps there is no alternative to be tested on other creatures except animals to prove a product’s quality. Conducting the experiment on human is totally unacceptable and illegal due to the public law and policy that forbid this. Therefore, the best way to address this issue is by limiting the occurrence of this typical risky experimentation.
In conclusion, the experimentation on pharmaceutical product on animals is genuinely acceptable as long as it doesn’t generate substantial negative impacts that harm the animal significantly. However, while no other creatures could replace animal as a test subject, reducing the number of tests on animal is much better.
