There is an ongoing debate over whether employees should receive gentle and kind behavior from their senior managers. Although it could be argued that there may be some merits on this side, I firmly consider that the negative aspects of friendly behavior are far more significant.
Even though there may be some benefits associated with kindness, several challenges cannot be overlooked. Firstly, if senior employees share their kindness with junior ones, there is a chance, some may not provide their best performance. This stems from the fact that some juniors are working for money only rather than improving their performance. In the long run, this will impact the overall performance of the company.
Moreover, the key to increasing the profit of the organization is enhancing the monthly targets. This can only be done by improving the teamwork and giving the goals to each salesman. They will complete these targets only if their managers are strict about the policy. With kindness, it is tough to achieve desired outcomes because they may not take their job with a seriousness. For example, if any employee is unable to complete the objectives, they may have to write an explanation, which creates fear with them, and they will do their best to achieve their goals.
In conclusion, despite opposing views, I strongly disagree with the notion and consider that strictness is important for increasing sales, as it not only increases the profits but also improves employees’ performance. Given the situation, prioritizing this approach is both practical and beneficial.
