To maintain a civilized society, it is important to accountable those have crossed line and have adopted wrong paths in journey of life. The concept of punishment is resentment by person who has committed crime, infringes other rights and this goal can only be achieved when such person will alive. This matter is under discussion in almost every state’s official for decision because social mindset depends upon it.
People who are not in favour of this punishment are advocates of right to life even after person has committed an unforgettable crime. Those states who have declared capital punishment as prohibited punishment in their penal laws are the ones who know how to regulate society and make them follow rules and regulations of society very strictly. That state spares no stone unturned to make sure following laws by every citizen as well as resident of that society. In that case, state will not let their citizens or residents touch that level of crime which leads them to capital punishment.
People who think that capital punishment should be allowed for most serious crimes. Most of the states don’t able to implement a strict system which prevent citizens to commit crimes. For them, it is an option to set example for society by giving such punishment to habitual criminal. States usually use method of creating fear for public at large. To eliminate crimes from society and to maintain peaceful environment for society it is necessary to keep criminals far from society so they repent in loneliness and then come back to society after realizing sensitivity of infringing someone’s right.
Where there is crime there is punishment, in my opinion that punishment should not be as rigorous that such criminal can’t survive that punishment. The punishment should not be given to take life of that criminal but to rehabilitate him from criminal mindset.
