Competing with one another and creating a sense of pleasure has been greatly influenced by the people of this generation. Although, competing at work, school , and at daily life has been regarded as a way for progression in life, I believe building a sense of cooperation is more beneficial than competing against each other , as this helps in maintaining a good relationship among the members in any space of our life.
People are encouraged to compete against each other in different stages of our life, either it be , work space , school or in our daily life. Competition can be both healthy and unhealthy. Healthy competition brings a sense of positive learning environment among the individuals and brings a sense of calmness among them, whereas, negative competition leads to jealousy between those peoples . Often, in most of the time, negative competition has lead to increase in number of crime rates in the work space. A survey conducted among the various group of peoples in corporate organization has provided a significant result that employees mostly hated each other after they faced competition in the organization. Also, when Mrs. Sahani Khadka a member of school association of Manhara Community of Kathmandu asked students regarding how competition affected students mental health, most of the student told that they were not in favor of competition, because it created a feeling a hatred between them , and also high amount of negativity surrounded them. Even though, competition sometimes makes positive difference in life, but most of the times it leads to negativity in life.
Cooperation on the other hand is one of the most important factor for developing a positive attitude on the individual, either it be in any place of life, cooperation has bough members of different group together. In the school, children of different academic progression when kept in same group and asked to help each other, it brings a lot of progress in students life. Cooperation and teaching each other to be helpful brings people to think positively and work accordingly. When there is no competition , there is a lot of chance of development in all stages of life. When I was in grade 8, me and my friend were competing against each other for being selected as a school captain, even though I received a highest number of votes from my friends, my competitor was chosen as Captain , but we denied and we both worked hand and hand. Hence, I believe cooperation brings positivity, a sense of responsibility and helps in growth among various individuals.
In conclusion , I personally believe cooperation is utmost important thing in our day to day life, as brings a sense of positive learning environment and encouragement. On the other hand, competition leads to negativity and creates threats to other members. Hence, I believe cooperation is essential.
