People have different views regarding the importance of building an outlook in comparison to its function. In my perspective, the combination of both is the best way forward.
On the one hand, the exterior appearance of the buildings plays a significant role in their success. To put it another way, many facilities depend on the outward design to attract customers and buyers, which is considered a marketing strategy. For example, restaurants and cafes rely on the exterior design to astonish their clients, catch their attention, and sometimes encourage them to attend the place. Moreover, the aesthetic might be valuable for the city to become a tourist region. Although the outer style is crucial, it is not the most advantageous aspect during the construction process.
On the other hand, considering the utility of the building is also important to achieving the main goals. Firstly, the owner of the building should design and establish the place based on its original use, which could be helpful to avoid any future obstacles such as a lack of amenities or space. Secondly, the key value of the building depends on its usage by people, and focusing on that might be beneficial for the firm or company in the long run. For example, at the beginning of establishing a start-up, investing money to develop the service provided by the place is more crucial for customers than wasting money on exterior touches. However, taking care of the appearance of the enterprise is also important, but without exaggeration.
To conclude, many people argue that the outer design of the building is more valuable than the usage of the place. I believe that the combination of both strategies in tandem is ideal for bringing success in the future.
