The image shows two maps comparing Stokeford in 1930 and 2010. In 1930, Stokeford has a bridge to the north over River Stoke, with farmland on either side, and a road leading southeast from the bridge to a post office, shops, and a large house southeast, with a primary school and gardens further east; two distinct areas of farmland are present. In 2010, the map features the same bridge and river location but with significantly less farmland, a notable increase in residential housing replacing previous farmland especially east of the primary school, a newly introduced retirement home north of the primary school, and the primary school maintains a similar position, with roads more connected forming more loops and links.

The two maps compare how Stokford village looked in 1930 and how it had changed to 2010. Overall, it can be clearly seen that the appearance of the village was transformed from rural area into urban place.

In 1930, most of the area was used as farmland. There was a river from the northeast to the southwest corner of the map. While there were not so many houses, the village had enough place for gardens and animals. The large house was situated near the gardens. The primary school, devided from the shops and the post office with the main road, was located just opposite these buildings.

By 2010, some changes had been done in Stokeford. As all farmlands were eradicated, these areas were filled with additional structures. We can notice that new roads were constructed and a lot of new houses were erected along all roads. The primary school was extended and as well as the large house, which was not only enlarged, but transformed into retirement home.
