Nowadays, many people consider that young people should pursue their passions when selecting a career, or focus on employment that promises a secure future. This essay will discuss both views before presenting my own opinion.
Firstly, people need to think about their future, and their lifestyles since the existence of humanity. As regards money, it is one of the crucial points in human life, and people try to gain more money to create a better life for their families. Nowadays, we cannot imagine a better life without money. Secondly, in childhood, children dream about prestigious positions, believing that such roles will bring them great happiness. For example, when they watch films about the law, they may see a prosecutor as one of the best jobs, imagining that everyone will respect them. People who think this way often do not care about their passions and sense of belonging, that they focus on achieving better living conditions.
On the other hand, some people believe that passion is the vital point of human life. They consider that if people forget their passion, they will lose their purpose of creation. Additionally, it is believed by all religions that humans belong in a special place and were created for that purpose. If they worked in other fields, they would struggle to find themselves and their true calling. Moreover, a person typically works for approximately 40 years during their life, which is an invaluable consideration when thinking about careers, as money and prestige will not provide the love and fulfillment that come from pursuing a job one truly loves.
In my opinion, people should choose a career where they belong and can work tirelessly with love for a long time, and I am sure this will bring them happiness.
