Some people argue that AI can enhance human creative talent, while others have concerns that it will reduce it. However, I don’t believe it will.
The main reason that drives people to think AI decreases creativity is that AI makes people not need to think as much as before, which leads to a diminished ability to think. For instance, artists or musicians may simply copy and paste a multitude of creative works from AI without adding their own input. Compared to the past, AI can make people’s works feel mechanical and impersonal.
On the other hand, people can evolve their creativity and thinking skills with AI. For example, they can take references from AI and personalize them or add a lot of details. AI provides creators with access to new styles, sounds, and techniques that might otherwise remain undiscovered. For instance, composers can utilize AI tools to generate extraordinary melodies or harmonies, which they can refine and make special. In this sense, AI acts as a source of inspiration rather than a replacement, helping individuals develop new ideas and push the boundaries of their creativity.
In my point of view, AI has positive effects on people if it is used wisely. It mainly depends on people’s choices.
In conclusion, AI itself is neither a threat nor a saviour to creativity. It is basically a tool, and its effect depends on how it is used. Those who use AI thoughtfully can enhance their creative thinking skills, while those who depend on it blindly may lose touch with their own artistry.
