Education is the window to great development. This is exactly why a lot of the nation leaders of the world try to improve their educational system and providing more access to it. I strongly agree to this notion, knowing that education can bring personal improvement, as well as betterment on a bigger scale.
A lot of people are still struggling to afford higher education nowadays; the number of universities exist doesn’t help the fact that some people aren’t able to get the privilege of getting a higher degree yet. Some who were able to get into universities are even still burdened with massive student loan years after they graduated. If there is a way to solve this issue, then that’s going to be a huge leap forward. As someone who has experienced higher education, I understand that higher education is more than just getting a degree. It can open the door to better opportunities in life, broader mindset, and creating impactful connections. These benefits will lead someone to get better job and to their personal economic improvements.
More than personal benefits, if this educational accessibility is done in a bigger scale, then it will also lead to bigger impacts. Accessibility to higher education can be the key to overall national improvements through better quality of skilled workers, decreasing poverty, and better life quality of the people. Those are also the reasons why many developed countries in the world like German, Belgium, and most Nordic Countries are providing free university tuitions for their citizens.
Overall, I strongly agree that opening the access to university to more people of any social ladders can bring benefits not only for personal but also for nationwide improvement.
